I spent my birthday in Greece (Kos). The past two years I spent my birthday at Reading Festival and that was the plan for this year... Originally, I was meant to go with someone who I fell out with as well as going to Sundown festival but instead of torturing myself by being with them I decided to sell my tickets and go to Greece. Yes, I flew to and from Greece ALONE to see my best friend who lives there for the third year in a row… been there THREE years and still got so lost walking around the island.

For my birthday we went for cocktails on the 26th at Omega Skybar and as soon as it hit 12:00 a cocktail with a sparkler was given to me (my friend did this behind my back, I was shocked! But because I can’t understand Greek I didn’t think anything of it), the waiter who gave me the cocktail made it extra special by telling me he went to THREE different stores to try and find a sparkler. The cocktails were delicious! I’ve never been given a lollipop in a cocktail yet along slices of chocolate mixed with rum, made my taste buds went on a madness (from what I remember).

Afterwards, we went to Saloon Tex (you’d find me there every night) and I got given a birthday shout out on the speakers as my best friend’s dad run the club we were in... What a CUTIE!!! My best friend bought me a bottle of vodka that came with a sparkler whilst everyone sung happy birthday. She really did impress me as I was feeling extremely homesick and tbf missing my birthgiver n dog a bit toooooooo much.

On my actual birthday (27th August) I was too hungover to even move out of bed but we got such a tasty Chinese takeaway and went for a walk along the beach as evening approached and I felt a little less twisted!
